The mission of the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia (ISOFOM) is to bridge cultures and communities through world class vocal training and performance. ISOFOM brings together musicians from cross cultural worlds to create, perform and grow together through opera. Young Artists and Opera Studio members train in a safe and challenging environment as they embark on their professional careers, providing them with extensive practical training for their artistic, profesional, and personal growth.
ISOFOM partners with the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo through their "Escuela Popular de Bellas Artes" to bring together musicians in both a full-scale opera production and the ISOFOM Gala. This partnership is crucial for our festival.
ISOFOM also partners with the 200 plus year old Conservatorio de las Rosas. Students from the Conservatorio join both the ISOFOM orchestra and ISOFOM singers for both of these awe-inspiring productions. Also, this year we are working hand by hand with Facultad de Música, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
