The International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia is proud to announce its 2025 Program!
The magical city of Morelia offers a summer you will never forget in your life. This baroque city built in the 16th century is an outstanding example of architectural beauty, Mexican culture, and culinary adventures.
The International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia was founded in 2019 and it has become a great platform for artists, as our very well accomplished mission is making you stand out and show your potential to the world so you can create better opportunities for yourself and your future.
This year you will have the opportunity to perform in fully staged opera productions of Mozart's Così fan tutte and Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, and our gala with piano in a very special venue. You will have access to exceptional voice lessons and coaching with acclaimed teachers and mentors. All the roles for the two operas are open at the moment.
Application Process
Please complete the online application to begin the process. You will be asked to upload a headshot, bio/resume, and a link to a Youtube video of your audition piece.
Applicants will also need to pay the $35 application fee. Instructions for doing so are available within the application form. Please note that your application is not considered complete until the application fee has been paid.
Payment Process
A payment of $1,000 USD will be required by 10 March 2025 in order to secure the offer of a role. Remaining payments may be made over time.
Please note that it is unlikely that there will be scholarships available.

Full Production package (three weeks)

- 1 weekly singing lesson

Tuition
- Three week program with hotel accommodations: $3,500
- Three week program without hotel accommodations: $3,000

Oyentes package ($5,000 MXN)
For artists who merely want to learn by observation. This two-week package includes attendance at all rehearsals, lessons, recitals, and masterclasses (no participation)
Alternates/Covers
Alternates may be invited to perform their role in the main stage productions at the discretion of the directors, if there is an opening in the main cast.
Role Study
Artists will be able to study a role by attending the main cast’s coachings and rehearsals for that role. No individual coachings nor performances for that role will be included for the role study participants
Accommodations
Program participants have the option of providing their own accommodations, or requesting lodging with the ISOFOM hotel partner in double-occupancy rooms, within a few blocks of the rehearsal and performance venues. Please note that hotel accommodations are not available for those on the Mexican package.
